“Deadliest Catch” Captain Phil Harris Asked Producers To Continue Filming In Hospital

deadFeb 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Phil Harris, the captain and the star of Discovery Channel’s popular reality series “Deadliest Catch”, who passed away earlier this month, had asked the producers of the show to continue filming his last moments, reports claim. The captain of the fishing boat Cornelia Marie that is featured in the adventure reality show was hospitalized after he suffered a massive stroke while aboard the boat as the filming of the sixth season of the show was taking place.

It has been revealed that after Phil Harris was admitted to an Anchorage medical facility, the crew of the reality show was present in the hospital. Thom Beers, the executive producer of the program has stated to a news source that their team was present throughout the time the “Deadliest Catch” star had spent in the hospital. At the same time, Thom Beers also revealed that when Phil Harris came out of the medically-generated coma while in the medical facility for a very brief period of time, he requested the producers of the series to go on with their filming. Moreover, the executive producer also stated that as Phil Harris was not able to communicate verbally, he expressed his thoughts in a piece of paper in which he wrote that the story needs a great finish.

The sixth season of the reality series which is scheduled to be aired in the month of April might include footage of the time spent by the Cornelia Marie captain in the medical facility. Meanwhile, in a bid to pay tribute to Phil Harris, Discovery Channel is all set to air a 15 hour marathon of the popular reality series.
