New York, April 5 (IANS) Veteran Hollywood actor Robert De Niro is facing legal action from a former nanny who has accused him of owing her more than $40,000 in overtime payments.
Alexis Barry worked for the star and his wife, Grace Hightower, in 2006 - she looked after their son Elliot, now 11, reports Imdb.
The childcare worker alleges the couple agreed to pay her $31.25 an hour and $46.88 per hour overtime.
Barry has now filed papers in New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court claiming she clocked up 750 hours of overtime in her 10 months working for the pair, but has not been paid for her extra service.
According to TMZ.com, the lawsuit also claims that Barry never received 10 days of vacation time which she was promised.
