Las Vegas, June 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The much anticipated Daytime Emmys Awards was held with much elan in Las Vegas on Sunday evening. The gala event witnessed the presence of some of the most prominent names of television many of whom were recognized for their outstanding work throughout the year, to the utter delight of their large number of fans. The award ceremony which reached its 37th year this time, was aired live on CBS Network which gave all the fans the opportunity to witness the moment of glory of their favorite stars.

One of the big winners of the night turned out to be CBS soap opera, “As the World Turns” as two of the biggest trophies of the award ceremony, the best actor and the best actress honor went to lead actors of the series, Michael Park and Maura West. Another cast member of the popular show Julie Pinson took home the award for the best supporting actress in a drama series. At the same time, the award for the best drama series went to CBS’s “Bold and the Beautiful” and the victory was all the more special for the makers of the series as it managed to register the much coveted award for two years in a row.

Other television programs which were honored in the 37th Daytime Emmys included ” The Ellen DeGeneres Show” which reserved the best entertainment talk who award while “The Doctors” was named the best informative talk show of the year. Last night’s award ceremony which honored some of the other most popular shows on television, was thoroughly enjoyed by the audiences.
