Dayaben addicted to sprouts

March 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):A human being always has some addictions or the other. A few of them have peculiar addictions. Disha Wakani, aka Dayaben of Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chasmah fame, has a fetish for sprouts.
Disha is said to be crazy about sprouts and the lady carries a whole variety to the sets. A few of them has even taken her colleagues by surprise.
Confirming the news, Wakani says, “Yes, I like having sprouts and thus I always carry it with me. They are very healthy. I used to observe a particular sprout near a shop at Vile Parle station. One day, I decided to pick it up. That’s how I developed an appetite for sprouts.”
So, do these sprouts enable her to speak in that exaggerated Gujju accent in the show?
Laughs! “Not really. This is a typical Dayaben-like question. Sprouts have got nothing to do with my accent,” the actress sighed.
