David Petraeus Tops Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating People 2010 List

Dec 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ace journalist and broadcaster Barbara Walters called for the ten most fascinating people of the year 2010. According to reports given by ABC, the channel where the special show was aired on Friday has said that the show was watched by almost 12.2 million Americans. General David Petraeus, who is the top military commander in Afghanistan has beat everyone else to top the list. The veteran journalist called David Petraeus as a true American hero.
According to Barbara Walters the general deserved every inch of the honor to be on the first rank. The other nine fascinating people includes actress-singer and new “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, current teen crooner Justin Bieber, NBA star LeBron James, Hollywood actresses Sandra Bullock and Betty White, politician Sarah Palin, future British princess Kate Middleton, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and last but not the least the young interesting cast of MTV reality show “The Jersey Shore”. Barbara Walters said that General David Petraeus was a man of that kind who fixes things in life. The 58 year old general was asked to lead the United States and NATO forces in Afghanistan in June, after he had served as the chief of the U.S. Central Command.
Her annual list has received mixed combinations. While most gave out a negative response refusing to accept her view of the fascinating people she chose some did agree saying that the veteran journalist had rightly ranked the individuals. Some people claimed that Lady Gaga was deserving enough to be on the list as she has a huge fan following. Last year US First Lady Michelle Obama had topped the list.
