David Letterman getting death threats
August 19th, 2011 - 10:21 pm ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Aug 19 (IANS) Talk show host David Letterman has reportedly received death threats from jehadis.
A post written by Umar al-Basrawi on the site Shumukh-al-Islam, which is popular among the members and supporters of Al-Qaeda read, “cut the tongue of this lowly jew and shut it forever”.
The site, called Shumukh-al-Islam is a “clearing house for Al Qaeda material. It gets the most Al Qaeda supporters,” ew.com quoted Adam Raisman, an expert in extremist websites, as saying.
Letterman had apparently offended some with remarks he made on-air about accused terrorist leader Ilyas Kashmiri, who reportedly died in a US drone strike in Pakistan in June, reports usmagazine.com.
“He showed his evil nature and deep hatred for Islam and Muslims, and said that Ilyas Kashmiri was killed and he joined Bin Laden. We ask Allah to paralyse his tongue and grant the sincere monotheists his neck,” wrote Al Basrawi.
