David Letterman gets highest honour at US comedy awards

London, Mar 28 (ANI): Veteran chat show host David Letterman has been awarded the highest honour at the first annual US Comedy Awards in New York.
Letterman, 63, was presented with the Johnny Carson award for comedic excellence at the event in New York, reports the BBC.
Meanwhile, Eddie Murphy was named comedy icon at the event hosted by Comedy Central.
Fey (Date Night) and Zach Galifianakis (Dinner for Schmucks) were awarded Best Comedy Actress and Actor in Film, while 30 Rock’s Alec Baldwin and Saturday Night Live’s Kristen Wiig picked up awards for TV actor and actress.
‘Modern Family’ received the award for Best Comedy Series and ‘The Other Guys’ for Best Comedy Film. (ANI)
