Sep 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The American socialite, media personality Paris Hilton was arrested last Friday night in Las Vegas for cocaine possession. The Las Vegas Police Lt. Dennis Flynn said that the police had found a packet of cocaine, a broken tablet of “Albuterol” in her purse. However, last night, David Letterman made fun of the hotel heiress in his own chat show and called her an “idiot”.

The American television host and comedian whilst referring Paris Hilton’s stint in jail in 2007 said that the Page 3 celebrity does not need any more trouble. David Letterman also said that Paris Hilton could have told that she is possessing chewing gum! However, the joke turned a bit personal when David Letterman mocked about her misfortune and said that her beau Cy Waits was also arrested with Paris Hilton and was charged with “DWI”. The host of “Late Night With David Letterman” said that as Paris Hilton’s boyfriend was driving with an “idiot” (referring to Paris Hilton) he was also arrested.

Paris Hilton was placed under an arrest for possession of a “controlled substance cocaine” and she is presently facing felony charges which might land her in prison with a sentence of maximum four years. Paris Hilton, however, denied all the charges against her and said that the bag belongs to one of her friends. However, just few days before her arrest she posted a photograph of her bag in the homepage of her micro-blogging site. Paris Hilton was arrested during the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, early this year on suspicion of possessing marijuana. However, the case was then dropped after a midnight hearing.
