The anonymous person, Letterman revealed in front of his viewers, had blackmailed to expose that Letterman had been involved in sexual relationships with quite a few members of his staff. In a statement released a few hours after the Thursday night taping, Letterman in reported to have said, “This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life. I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury,” allegedly regarding his sexual relationships with his staff members.
