Aug 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former ‘Knight Rider’ and ‘Baywatch’ star, David Hasselhoff took quite a verbal beating as Whitney Cummings and several of his celebrity friends poked fun at him while he sat in a lifeguard chair for the ninety minute “Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff.”

Among the other stars who stepped up to laugh at Hasselhoff were Pamela Anderson, Lisa Lampanelli, Jerry Springer, Hulk Hogan, George Hamilton, and Gilbert Gottfried. Whitney Cummings had much to say about each of these stars as well, and actually seemed to “roast” a few of them, including Lisa Lampanelli, more than she did the intended victim of the show.

Seth McFarlane, who was the MC of the night, and if the creator of ‘Family Guy’ asked, “How do you make jokes about a joke? How do you embarrass a man who so thoroughly embarrasses himself?”

Jeffrey Ross went with the obvious, making fun of Hasselhoff’s drinking and the 2007 video of him eating a cheeseburger off of the ground. While wearing a black speedo with a leather jacket, which drew the attention of Whitney Cummings’ jokes later, Ross asked Hasselhoff, “How’s that chain of all you can eat off the floor restaurants coming along?”

Pamela Anderson, who was David’s co-star on ‘Baywatch’ laughed, “I remember how nervous I was on my first day of ‘Baywatch”… because I can’t swim. But David was so sweet, he pulled me aside and said ‘Don’t worry, I can’t act.’”
