David Cook reschedules Concerts for Family mattersApril 2nd, 2009 - 7:27 pm ICT by GD
David Cook, the season seven American Idol Champion, postponed two of his scheduled concerts. What could possibly be the reason of this postponement? Well, the family matters of course. The much admired idol of America had to choose between family and fans. And finally he has prioritized his family.
Both the canceled shows were scheduled in New Hampshire and Connecticut and aimed to support his debut album.
David’s official site posted a message that describes the American Idol’s concert cancellation due to family matters and requested his fans to respect his privacy in this hard time. The message also hinted of rescheduling both the concerts.
Except for stating the whole cause as a family matter nothing further was explained. The only news about Cook’s family that could be grabbed was his brother Adam Cook’s battling with his brain cancer for over a decade. Cook’s fans were already aware of this fact which was told by the singer during his American Idol performance and they have shown immense support in this regard.
Despite such a brief announcement about the rescheduling of concerts, Cook received plenty of supportive messages by his fans. The singer’s website filled with messages that encouraged him to take as much time needed to resolve his family issues. The messages showered prayers and blessing for Cook and his family all over America. Cook’s fans delightfully accepted his decision of prioritizing is family by saying that there is nothing as important as family.
The starlet will be back again to hit the road on April 2. On that day he will be seen in Azalea Festival Wilmington University in North Wilmington.
