St. Louis, Oct 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dashing radio personality Rush Limbaugh and St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts are coming together in an apparent bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams, for themselves.

KMOX Radio and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report that the Checketts group has made a bid on the Rams and would keep the team in St. Louis. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined comment to The Associated Press on Tuesday, and the Rams said in a statement that a “strategic review” continues.

In a statement to KMOX, Limbaugh confirms the bid but he would not divulge the additional partners.

Checketts said business people need to take a long, hard look at costs. Nothing, absolutely nothing, should escape careful consideration.

The earlier owner Georgia Frontiere moved the Rams from Los Angeles to St. Louis in 1995. When she died in January 2008 then her two children became the majority owners in the team.
