Dasavatharam review puts downs Sakar RajJune 13th, 2008 - 10:56 pm ICT by David M N James
Dasavatharam hit the screens in Sathyam, Devi in Mount Road, Santham, Abirami, and Padmam in Kilpauk, Sangam and Swarna Abirami. The much anticipated movie by Kamal made its debut on 13th and the reviews are rolling. The release of the dasavatharan movie has made film reviewers to go crazy and have forgotten the existence of Sakar raj, the much hyped action movie. Sakar Raj was to make it across the movie industry and give the sensational Holly Wood a run for their Godfather video which featured Mario Puzzo’s best seller The God Father.
The Dasavatharam is now being dubbed the magnum opus of the year. It’s about American scientist who invents a dangerous bio weapon in his lab but wants to destroy the same after realizing its dangerous consequences. The US Government and scientists stop him. The scientist named Govind runs away from the lab with the bio weapon but Fletcher, a former CIA officer turned villain, chases him to get the weapon back to destroy other countries. The weapon by mistake lands to an Indian lady of 95 years of age
Govind takes his heels to India to locate the weapon followed by Fletcher who is accompanied by his prostitute cum translator (Mallika Sherawat). The old lady refuses to give the weapon to them without understanding the danger it could cause and puts it inside a statue of Lord Vishnu. This is the core of this review and everyone wants to say what happened here. Rediff have reviewed the movie and classed it as an onus of the year. This is a shot in the arm for this great picture.
