Mumbai, Feb 15 (IANS) After painting a terrific picture in “Taare Zameen Par”, child actor Darsheel Safary is all set to fly over buildings and rescue people as he plays a superhero in the forthcoming film “Zokkomon”.
“‘Zokkomon’ has been a very hard film to shoot, much harder than ‘Taare Zameen Par’. But it was worth it. I get to fly through the air, over buildings, save and rescue people. I felt like a true hero,” says Darsheel delightedly.

“What’s more I had my own special really cool costume, like Superman’s cape… even better.”

Does Darsheel realize he’s probably the youngest superhero in the world?

He chuckles, “I do realize that. But after Taare… I had to prove to the world that I can do better, no? So I had to do a really special film.”

Darsheel says his studies were hard to keep up with because of the long hours of training and shooting for “Zokkomon”.

“My teachers used to come on the sets, so I wouldn’t lag behind in my studies. It was really tough doing this film. But finally worth it. Because my friends will see me flying through the air. I can’t wait.”

What would Darsheel’s friends and girlfriend think of him playing the superhero?

“The question on the girlfriend is a personal one,” he says. “As for my friends they’d probably freak out. I’m enjoying the thought of being the youngest superhero in the world.”

Tell him Shah Rukh Khan is playing a super-hero, and Darsheel says cleverly: “His superhero would be very different, much older. I’m just a child. He’s grown up.”
