Darren Criss Joins Fox Show Glee as Possible “Partner” for Kurt
November 17th, 2010 - 12:15 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonNov 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Darren Criss gained plenty of attention when he debuted on the hit musical television series on ‘Fox’ known as ‘Glee’. His character, Blaine, who came in as a temporary prep school glee club member, but was so overwhelmingly liked that he has become a regular of the show, with the deal for next year all signed on the dotted lines.
The twenty three year old actor came onto the show last week to be a sort of mentor for Kurt, played by Chris Colfer. Kurt is often harassed at school for being gay, and Blaine is openly gay as well. The song Katy Perry hit, ‘Teenage Dream’ was performed on the show with Blaine as the lead singer.
The cover for that particular episode made the highest ever sales for a soundtrack from the show, with fifty-five thousand downloads, according to Twentieth Television. When Blaine returns to the show this week, Gwyneth Paltrow will be guest starring as a substitute teacher.
Twentieth Television has not yet decided whether or not Blaine and Kurt will actually become a romantic couple.
