New York, 15 Aug (THAINDIAN NEWS) No one was injured when the plane Batwing crashed during filming of the movie The Dark Knight Rises in Pittsburgh. The plane was first featured in a film in 1989 when it appeared in a Batman movie that year.

The accident happened during a scene that involved a high speed chase. The incident caused the filming of the movie to be stopped for about one hour during which the wreckage and the scene were cleared. Since the filming of The Dark Knight Rises began, this is the second major accident that has happened.

The stunt-double of actress Anne Hathaway earlier this month slammed into an expensive camera on the set. A stunt went wrong and the double crashed into the IMAX camera destroying it in the process, the British newspaper Metro reports. Hathaway plays the role of Catwoman Selina Kyle.

The batman movie will be the last for Christian Bale. The actor has announced that he will not play the lead role again in the franchise. The movie is expected to be released in the middle of next year.

The Dark Knight Rises is being directed by Christopher Nolan and stars like Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are all featured in the movie.
