Danny Devito gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hollywood, Aug 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hollywood legend Danny Devito has been honored for his contribution to the growth of the entertainment industry. The star was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Devito was honored with a ceremony in Hollywood on Thursday.

With his feat, the 66-year-old becomes the 2,445th personality to be installed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has appeared in several movies including Batman Returns since he had his first role in the television show Taxi about 30 years ago. The 5ft stout actor played the role of Louie De Palma and he won a Golden Globe and an Emmy’s award for that.

Devito was clearly ecstatic to receive the recognition. He couldn’t stop smiling and even stepped on the pink star with his bare foot. He was at the event with his three children – 28-year-old Lucy, 26-year-old Grace and 23-year-old Jacob. Actress Rhea Perlman who is also the business partner of Devito was also at the event.

Devito signed autographs and chatted with the fans who had thronged the place to witness the ceremony. Devito owns the production company Jersey Films with Rhea. Films like Freedom Writers, Pulp Fiction and Garden State were all made by the company.
