Danny DeVito Accepts Award for Michael Douglas
October 6th, 2010 - 1:10 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonWhile actor Michael Douglas is undergoing surgery for throat cancer, he had a friend, actor Danny DeVito collect an award for him for his work in the movie, ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’.
Michael Douglas was honored at the Zurich Film Festival this past Sunday night, with the Golden Icon Award.
DeVito told the audience in Switzerland, “Michael is so strong. He gets better and better with every movie he makes.
“So that’s why I tell him to work more.”
DeVito has spoken out before on his confidence that Michael Douglas will recover from the throat cancer. He stated that he believes his friend will “kick” the disease. Douglas recently shared that for him, right now, it is about spending time with his family and friends. He was seen taking his daughter to school yesterday.
