New York City, Dec 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Danny Cahill is the well-deserved winner of the NBC’s show ‘The Biggest Loser’. He deserves the title because he lost a whopping 239 pounds. Even though he lost the weight he has gained quiet a heavy purse of $250,000.

He claimed the top cash prize by posting a total weight loss percentage of 55.58 percent. At the beginning of the show, he weighed 430 pounds when he arrived at the “Biggest Loser” ranch 61/2 months ago. And at the Tuesday’s finale, he stepped on the scale for his final weigh-in Tuesday in front of family, friends and millions of television viewers, the scales registered 191 pounds.

The 40-year-old Danny Cahill didn’t at all look like the original poster of himself from his first weigh-in. And he is quiet amazed that no one recognizes him now at home and on the streets. “At home, I walk the streets and no one knows who I am,” he said on the show. “They go, ‘Who’s that guy with the brown socks on?’

He also revealed on a funny note that, “And I’ll be in the gym and the ‘Biggest Loser’ commercials will come on. I look around, and everybody will just be going along. No one knows.”

For the prize money of $250,000 he has many plans, he wants to give a portion of it away, and he would also start a college fund for his children and a retirement fund for his wife. “One thing I’m not going to do is go spend it all on a new house. But I probably will be getting a new vehicle. The truck I’m sitting in has 200,000 miles on it and it wouldn’t start this morning.”
