Daniel Radcliffe Compares ‘Harry Potter’ With ‘Hamlet’
November 17th, 2010 - 2:26 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
Recently, he revealed how his theft was caught when he tried to sneak the golden egg from the sets of ‘Goblet of Fire’. And speaking of the final films ‘Deathly Hallows’, Radcliffe has cited that they were the toughest from the filming point of view.
The 21-year-old who has been donning his wizardry robes from his pre-teen days has become synonymous with his screen character of Harry Potter. He has compared his role in ‘Deathly Hallows’ to that of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ because of its complexity.
Radcliffe recalls how the producer David Heyman, the producer of the Harry Potter films, finished off reading ‘Deathly Hallows’ (during the book release) a couple of days before Dan and called him up asking ‘How would you fancy playing Hamlet?’ Daniel was confounded that time but after he finished his own copy he realized the true meaning of the producer’s statement.
And besides complexity, this time it felt weird because he knew that this is his last shot to Harry Potter; he won’t be coming back as there’s no next part. Even as a tinge of sorrow lingers on, the fans are animated about the release of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part -I’ on this 19th of November.
