Aug 10 (IBNS) Daniel Baldwin and his wife, Joanne Smith-Baldwin, have welcomed a baby girl.

Avis Ann Baldwin, who was born Thursday at 12:59 am at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, is a ‘boon’ for the couple, Baldwin aid Monday.

She weighed in at 7 lbs. 10 oz.

Baldwin said: Thank god she looks like her mother. She is a boon for us…we are really proud to have her in our life. It’s just four days that she has come into our life and already we can feel the good aura around us.

On the other hand, Mom, 38, is a former British fashion model-turned-chef said: I’m ecstatically happy. “Daniel wasn’t as nervous as me. He’s a little used to this sort of thing. I’m glad he’s got some experience in this area. The fourth time’s a charm. We feel blessed.”

The newborn is Daniel’s fourth child and Joanne’s first.

The couple met last year during Baldwin’s stint in an exclusive drug and alcohol rehab facility in Malibu. At the time, Joanne worked as a chef at the facility. They were married last July 28.

Baldwin also has three children from three previous relationships: Atticus, 13, Alexandra, 18, and Kahlea, 25.

Daniel Leroy Baldwin (born October 5, 1960) is an American actor, producer and director. He is the second oldest of the four Baldwin brothers, all of whom are actors.

Baldwin was born in Massapequa, New York, the son of Carol Newcomb (née Martineau), a breast cancer survivor who founded the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Care Center of the University Hospital and Medical Center at Stony Brook, and Alexander Rae Baldwin, Jr., a high school history/social studies teacher and football coach.
