Danica McKellar Adds Draco Verta To The Equation

danica-mckellarSep 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘Wonder Years’ star Danica McKellar has given birth to a baby boy on Tuesday night. The 35 year old former child star welcomed the 7 pound and 2 ounces Draco Verta into her family. Married to TV composer Mike Verta, this is Danica McKellar’s first child. The couple said in a statement that they were humbled overjoyed and grateful for the miraculous gift. They have also added that the birth of the baby boy has helped them understand the true meaning of love. The couple were married last year.

Danica McKellar, unlike many other child stars has emerged as one of the most respected and sought after authors over the years. In ‘Wonder Years’ she played the role of Winnie, who was the love interest of Kevin Arnold. Danica McKellar has called her transition from a child actor to an adult actor slightly bumpy. She made a few guest appearances on TV after ‘Wonder Years’ and has also written and directed two short films. Her book ‘Math Doesn’t Suck’ became an instant bestseller after teenage girls found how to be sassy and stylish and still crack the algebra sums. She dated Mike Verta since 2001 before tying the knot in 2009.

Draco Verta was named after the constellation under which he was born. ‘Draco’ means dragon. The couple had announced the pregnancy one year after the marriage in March last year. Danica McKellar’s present book ‘Hot X: Algebra Exposed’ is also presently on the bestseller list. Her books have been received not only popularity and critical acclaim but also been accepted by the education experts as it helps take the monotony out of graduation’s biggest hurdle, maths.
