New York, March 13 (ANI): R and B singer D’Angelo has resolved his prostitution case by pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

The ’90s star, whose real name is Michael Archer, has pleaded guilty to a reduced disorderly conduct charge for offering 40 dollars for sex to an undercover cop posing as a hooker, officials said.

D’Angelo was busted on a misdemeanor rap of patronizing a prostitute in Greenwich Village last March.

“[It's] a violation, not a crime,” the New York Daily News quoted his lawyer, Stacey Richman, as saying of the lesser charge.

He initially faced up to a year behind bars on the misdemeanor charge but will not receive jail time under the lesser count. (ANI)
