Dancing with their babies, new fad among mothers
March 26th, 2010 - 4:33 am ICT by IANSLondon, March 26 (IANS) Doing Samba, Waltz and Blues and other forms of dance is what mothers are doing nowadays and keeping them company are their little ones.
Women are increasingly learning how to dance and at the same time are helping their children to develop. The baby dance classes are designed to benefit both the baby and their mother, reported dailymail.co.uk.
Dancing with the baby provides vital brain activity, stimulates growth and develops coordination and awareness of rhythm in babies. It can also help younger babies develop the muscle strength they will need to crawl and walk.
At the same time dancing is a great way for new mothers to lose their baby weight as developing a bond with their child.
Youngsters are held in baby slings as their mothers are taken through a series of stretches and dances along to music. Instructors teach them the basic steps they will need and then let the mother and child dancing partners enjoy the rhythm of the music.
Such classes are held at many places including a studio in Yokohama city, in suburban Tokyo.
