Nov. 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 9th season of the very popular show ‘Dancing With The Stars‘ has now come to an end with its finale being aired on ABC, Tuesday night in an two-hour special. The winner crowned was Donny Osmond and partner Kym Johnson. After being announced the winner, Donny ran to his wife and brought her on the stage. “Yeah!”, is what he said while he showed off the trophy held high above his head.

The runner-ups were not far behind when it came to making speeches. Mya said that she was very happy to have at least reached the finals. “We had the time of our lives”, Mya continued, while the second runner-up Kelly Osbourne said, “It’s been the most beautiful amazing experience…Thank you, America…It’s because of you that I’ve grown so much.”

The start of the show had the three finalists repeating one of their earlier performances form the season itself. Kelly did her first-week-waltz with Mya jiving and Donny doing his all time favorite tango. This time they were not given points by the judges, rather gaining ranks- Kelly-third, Mya- second, and Donny first. Although ranks were awarded, each of these ranks carried points- 30, 28 and 26 points for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

In the action packed episode, Whitney Houston was invited to perform as the musical guest of the big night. The big screen also featured some recaps from the season, including Dylan’s injury and Carter’s crying. The other contestants who had been eliminated earlier, all came back to dance one more time for the season finale.
