“Dancing With The Stars” Season Premiere Receives Wide Viewership

danceMar 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The tenth season premiere of the popular dance reality show “Dancing with the Stars” was aired on Monday night and as expected, the episode was successful in gathering extensive viewership. Anticipation about the new season of the reality show which features prominent personalities from a variety of fields showcasing their dancing skills, was skyrocketing and it hardly came as a surprise that the season premiere episode managed to engage approximately 23.9 million viewers.

According to reports, officials of the ABC network where the show is aired have divulged that the season opener of “Dancing with the Stars” received the maximum number of viewership compared to any other show. However, given the fact that this season showcased diverse celebrities such as bombshell Pamela Anderson on one hand to iconic astronaut Buzz Aldrin in the other hand taking up the stage to shake a leg in order to impress the judges, its high ratings was expected. Another contestant whose performance was highly anticipated was reality star Kate Gosselin although she failed to win widespread accolades from the judges and had to settle with only 16 points. Although Buzz Aldrin scored the lowest points in the show, the 80 year old astronaut surely managed to impress the judges as well as the audience with his Cha-cha-cha.

Moreover, the celebrities who took the stage to showcase their dancing skills and managed to create quite a buzz also included Olympic gold medalist figure skater Evan Lysacek, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews as well as Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger. Apart from these, the tenth season premiere also featured a number of other celebrities who entertained the viewers with their dancing skills.
