Nov. 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS), The season 9 of “Dancing With The Stars”, has revealed to be a shocker with the elimination of the four time topper of this season, Joanna Krupa and her choreographer Derek Hough. Tuesday was the semi final night of the season, which had four contestants namely, Joanna, Mya, Donny and Kelly entering with their partners.

Joanna had earlier scored all 9s in her three performances, that included the Viennese waltz (Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley), the Cha-Cha-Cha (Cant get you out of my head by Kylie Minogue), and the Salsa (La Luz Del Ritmo by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs). Even though she was on the second place, closely following Mya (the frontrunner), she could not uphold her act, being voted out by the audience. Joanna’s elimination is being blamed on the fact that she is not a mainstream celebrity like the others on the show and has made her second appearance in the Playboy magazine recently. Her fans have also alleged that her Playboy’s racy pictures have worked against her along with the the limited exposure factor. The model, even though eliminated, has left her mark on the judges with her ’shimmying’ and has also developed a wider fanbase.

The show may have proved to be a disappointment for the Joanna fans but it made up with the performances delivered by Alicia Keys and Leona Lewis. Keys, performing her new single (releasing next month), ‘Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart’, had the audience and the judges in a groove, though the contestants seemed a bit too nervous. Lewis, dressed stunningly, took the stage with her hit single ‘Happy’. The contestants left on the show for the finals are Mya (with Dmitry), Donny (with Kym) and Kelly (with Louis).
