Oct 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) This week’s theme on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ centered around the 1980s. ‘The Bangles’ were on hand on performance night to sing both ‘Eternal Flame’, and ‘Walk Like an Egyptian’. The week marked the middle of the season, which lead the judges to take time out for advice to each of the couples.

For Hope and Maks, Carrie felt that they should connect more. They danced the Tango to ‘Living on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi. Len loved the aggression although he felt that Hope was a little weak. Bruno loved it, and Carrie agreed with both Len and Bruno. They received three 8s from the judges. Hope and Maks were the first couple named as in danger on results night.

Carson and Anna was advised by Bruno to improve on both technique and personality. They danced a jive to ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go Go’ by Wham. Bruno felt it was looney, Carrie thought it was fun, and Len was afraid it may not have been good enough. They received a 6 from Len and Carrie and a 7 from Bruno. Carson and Anna were in danger going home last night.

Tristan and Nancy Grace were up next. Len was giving the advice this time, and advised Nancy that he did not want to see “an old lady trying to look like some young floozy, because it just doesn’t work.” The couple danced a Rumba to the song ‘True’ by Spandau Ballet. Carrie called it “nice” but needed more passion, Len said it was simple, and effective, and Bruno thought it was one of their better dances. They received an 8 from Bruno and two 7s from Carrie and Len. Nancy Grace and Tristan were safe on results night.

Karina and JR received praise from Bruno instead of advice. They danced the Samba to ‘Conga’, which Len loved. Bruno thought they were on fire, and Carrie felt that it was amazing. They received 9s from both Len and Carrie and a 10 from Bruno. This couple was safe last night.

Rob and Cheryl received their advice from Len, who wants Rob to take more control. They danced the Rumba to the song ‘Hello’ by Lionel Richie. Bruno thought it was great, Carrie said it was strong and sexy, and Len loved that Ron finally did take control. Bruno and Len gave the couple two 8s, while Carrie gave them a 9. Rob and Cheryl were safe last night.

Chaz and Lacey were advised by Carrie, who felt that Chaz needs to push his limits. They danced to the song ‘Get Down on It’ by Kool and the Gang. Carrie said that he danced more for that performance than any she had seen so far, Bruno said it was good, and Len though it was a good effort. They were given a 7 by all three judges. Chaz and Lacey were safe on results night.

David and Kym were told by Carrie that David’s problem was in not realizing how sexy he is. They danced to ‘Tainted Love’ by Soft Cell. Len called it fantastic, Carrie called it “fun,” and Bruno loved it. They received a 9 from Len and two 8s from Carrie and Bruno. David and Kym are in jeopardy on results night.

Derek and Ricki received no advice, as they had been on top for weeks. They danced a Foxtrot to the song ‘Easy Lover’ by Phil Collins. Bruno liked it, but noted that the timing was off at times, Carrie loved it, but agreed about the timing, and Len felt that the dance was neither their best, nor their worst. They received three 8s from the judges. On results night, Ricki and Derek were safe.

As the results show ended last night, it was revealed that Carson and Anna are the couple who will be leaving the show.
