The elder brother of Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dan Gordon-Levitt is no more. The fire dance artist passed away Monday morning in his home in Hollywood as it has been reported. The 36 year old artist was known for his awesome photography and fire dancing skills and was known by the nickname ‘Burning Dan’. His actor sibling posted the news of his sudden and unexpected demise yesterday on his Twitter account. The Inception actor said in his post that his brother was a superhero for him and acted as the main inspiration behind all his work. The brothers looked very similar and were sometimes mistaken for their facial similarity. They loved each other very much despite the age gap. The brothers set up a multimedia website a few years back.

Dan Gordon-Levitt the elder sibling of actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt rose to fame for his participation in the famous Burning Man festival that was held in Nevada each year. The artist also earned accolades for setting up the Venice California based Flow Temple where he used to teach the art of dancing with fire. He did not have any illness as such but initial investigations suggest that he could have died owing to drug overdose. The unresponsive body of artist Dan Gordon-Levitt was found in his apartment in Hollywood and at that time reportedly he was with a few friends.

Autopsy on him has been done but the results are yet to arrive owing to the toxicology tests that are on progress. When the artist’s body was shifted to a hospital he was dead. Sources have reported he used needles and syringes profusely before his demise.
