Los Angeles, Aug 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Dan Aykroyd is really keen to start work on the movie Ghostbusters 3 and is also hoping that it could be released as early as next year.

The leading star of the movie franchise is Bill Murray and he is yet to nod his consent for the role in Ghostbusters 3. Despite this, actor and writer Dan wants to start work on the movie as soon as possible because he feels that they have a great script.

“That is our hope. We have an excellent script. What we have to remember is that Ghostbusters is bigger than any one component, although Billy was absolutely the lead and contributed to it in a massive way, as was the director and Harold (Ramis), myself and Sigourney (Weaver). The concept is much larger than any individual role and the promise of Ghostbusters 3 is that we get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood,” Dan Aykroyd said.

However Bill Murray isn’t very convinced about the feasibility of the third installment of Ghostbusters 3. He feels that they made 2 great movies and their success would be quite hard to replicate in the third installment.
