Damien Hirst rescued me: Ronnie Wood
September 8th, 2011 - 9:21 am ICT by IANSLondon, sep 8 (IANS) Singer Ronnie Wood has credited Damien Hirst for helping him win his booze battle, after the British artist staged an intervention.
“I’ve blown millions of pounds on booze and drugs in the past, but Damien rescued me,” contactmusic.com quoted the 64-year-old as saying.
“He bundled me into the back of a bread van to avoid the paparazzi and then whisked me away on his private plane. There began my life of recovery. I owe that man a lot,” he added
The British rocker was known for his hard-drinking lifestyle but he is leading a normal lifestyle for more than 18 months now.
