Dame Helen’s corgis pals up for canine Oscars

The five pooches have been nominated at the British award, which recognises outstanding canine acting in the Historical Hound category.

Their proud mate, Dame Helen couldn’t stop praising the corgis.

“I loved those corgis because they were funny. I can understand why the Queen has them. Forget winning an Oscar, I’d be more proud of an award for dog handling,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

In the competition, the pups will be fighting for the title with fellow movie mutts including the collie-mix owned by Samantha Morton’s character in Control, and the brown hunting dog from French picture Moliere. (ANI)
