Dame Helen Mirren promotes Nintendo Wii in latest ad
October 4th, 2010 - 3:26 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 4 (ANI): The new campaign for Nintento Wii got a starry touch with Dame Helen Mirren starring in the game console’s latest advert.
The legendary actress can be seen being put through her paces with a Nintendo Wii Fit Plus workout as part of the company’s Christmas promotion.
The Wii has a wireless wand-like remote control that can be used to play so-called ‘active’ computer games, which require gamers to do more than simply press buttons.
It is part of a series of adverts which also see boyband JLS, broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan, Jamie and Louise Redknapp and Ant and Dec try their hand at different games.
‘This year’s star line-up is the best yet, demonstrating the wide appeal of Nintendo products,” the Telegraph quoted Dawn Paine, Marketing Director at Nintendo UK, as saying.
“This Christmas, with the help of our celebrity friends, we will be helping the nation play together and have fun whatever their age,” he added. (ANI)
