Dame Helen Mirren, who is 64 years old joked with reporters at the unveiling and stated that she hopes her wax likeness gets to be positioned near the statue of Victoria Beckham at the exhibit. She also made jokes about the portrayal of the British in movies and television while at a party in Los Angeles which was held to celebrate the relationship between the UK and California.

The actress starred in “State of Play”, and “Calendar Girls” and came face to face with her wax likeness at the unveiling on Tuesday. She was joined by her husband a film director by the name of Taylor Hackford who truly appreciated the artwork- enough to lean in and give the wax statue a kiss. “My husband wants to marry her. I’m much more argumentative than her,” Mirren said.
