‘Dadagiri 4′ gets Vijender, Vidya on board
January 12th, 2011 - 8:04 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 12 (IANS) The youth driven UTV Bindass’ reality show “Dadagiri 4″ is set to bring boxing ring champion Vijender Singh along with “Chak De! India”-fame actress Vidya Malvade as team leaders in the war of the sexes.The two celebrities will head their respective teams, which consist of seven participants each.
Vijender, who is preparing for the boxing World Championship to be held in Moscow and the Olympics 2012, says his personality reflects the show’s format completely.
“The show is very youthful and full of energy which somehow is reflected in my personality also. I found the show interesting and could connect with it because the profession that I am in also demands a lot of ‘dadagiri’ and naturally it is in my genes also. I do practice it out of the ring also, at times,” Vijender told reporters at the launch event of the show.
Vidya, who led the hockey team as captain in “Chak De! India” and participated in “Fear Factor-Khatron Ke Khiladi”, admits being an adventure lover at heart.
“For me adventure is fun and I like to engage myself in it. I’m sure, I and my girls will beat the boys. I would not want any kind of violence or abusive language to be used. Battle doesn’t mean respect to be kept on stake. I would want the boys to respect the women on the show,” Vidya told IANS.
The fourth season of the show, which is slated to debut Jan 15 features singer-turned- actor Amit Tandon as the host along with Vishal Bhosle - as the dada of the show and Shaurya Chauhan as the dadi.
