Michael Jackson AuctionPrague, June 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) He might be the “King Of Pop” and the “King Of All Hearts” but no such arguments can alter the minds of the Czechs who consider him nothing but just an ordinary singer. Recently the citizens of Czech have declared that they “do not want to see” any Michael Jackson statue in Letna Park.

Michael Jackson had once performed in Letna Park before thousands of his fans way back in the year of 1996. To immortalize the memory of their favorite singer, the fans had approached with their wish to cast a six feet tall bronze statue of the singer. Although the proposal has been approved by the City Council, the local residents of Letna Park are not in a mood to allow the fans put up the statue of Michael Jackson.

The Letna Park residents are of the opinion that Michael Jackson never had any “real connection” to the country or to the people of the state. The bronze statue is scheduled to be put up in Letna Park on August 29 which happens to be the 52nd birth anniversary of the singer. However, it has come to hearing that the local art gallery administers have plans to replace the statue with an artwork of a Czech artist.

Not only that, the local residents have also started an online protest in the popular social networking site Facebook where they have proclaimed in bold letters that the fans shouldn’t be allowed to put up the statue of Michael Jackson in Letna Park as he has no connection with the state and hence its meaningless.
