Los Angeles, Feb 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pop music stars Cyndi Lauper & Lady Gaga have teamed up together to create awareness about AIDS & HIV. Lauper says that girls should have fun, but at the same time they shouldn’t expose them to the risks of HIV. She has teamed up with Lady Gaga for a new campaign, which is being sponsored by MAC Cosmetics’ nonprofit MAC AIDS Fund. The main aim of this mission is to remind women that, HIV is a huge threat to them as well.
Both of them appeared on the show ‘Good Morning America’ on Wednesday morning, and there they discussed the threats to women because of the HIV virus. Besides this, they also talked about the similarities in their songwriting, esp. related to the creative aspects of the songs. At the show, they also talked about the new lipstick named Viva Glam via MAC cosmetics, in order to bring more awareness about HIV/AIDS, which they still believe, is very low.
Lady Gaga said that, “We have a lot in common. Cyndi and I have talked about how, for me growing up, my mother was the one who taught me about makeup, and watching her do her makeup in the morning was a very special moment for us. I’m hoping, and Cyndi’s hoping, that mothers and sisters and best friends buy each other a lipstick and say, ‘This lipstick represents you protecting yourself, having safe sex, and remembering to have loving, monogamous relationships to protect you and those around you.’”
