Sep 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) CW premiered the pilot episode of ‘Nikita’ on September 9. The series is a re-imagination of the character La Femme Nikita and stars Maggie Q in the lead role. The sexy, action packed drama series gathered a huge amount of publicity before its premiere and the season ahead promises to be full of intrigue and thrills. The original series of ‘La Femme Nikita’ received tremendous response from the audience and the CW Network will hope that the latest Maggie Q starrer will bring in the same viewership and ratings.

The plot of ‘Nikita’ revolves around the assassin and spy of the same name played by the gorgeous Maggie Q. In this new version of ‘La Femme Nikita’, Nikita is seen betrayed by the agency that trained her. The Division agency now faces the wrath of the sexy spy who is hell bent on taking it down. Nikita is seen returning from three years of exile after realizing that Division had betrayed her. Things, however, are more complicated than they seem as her former lover and handler, Michael, is still a part of Division.

Among some of the other important characters in the series is Alex, played by Lyndsy Fonseca. She is introduced to th audience in the first episode. Being a new recruit at Division, she is seen gradually realizing truth behind Division. The pilot episode was directed by Danny Cannon who is also one of the executive producers of the show. Critics have responded well to the first episode and going by the fight sequences and the sex appeal of Maggie, ‘Nikita’ is expected to be one of the biggest highlights in the CW programming schedule.
