Criss Angel sure knows how to pep up the format of his show so that people are forced to stay glued on to the screen. The season five of the “Mind Freak” promises to be another of a show stopper of sorts with the illusionist who will be seen foraying in to “deathly” realms.

In the five part series of the A&E’s Five Lives of Criss Angel Mind Freak, each encounter is supposed to put the illusion creator on the edge between life and death; and see Angel coming out of it alive, putting his skills to miraculous use. The one hour, five part series is scheduled to premiere on the 12th of August at 10 p.m ET/ Pt on A&E.

The season five of the “Mind Freak” premieres with the “White Death” on the first day for which Angel will be supposedly shackled and put inside a coffin. The coffin will be buried beneath layers of ice and snow; Angel will have to cope with hypothermia, suffocation as well as the danger of avalanche to win this round with death.

However, this season’s focal point and certainly the most talked about feat is supposedly going to be Angel attempting a “mass Levitation”; an attempt in which he proposes to make the members of the audience levitate. It is going to be a risky situation, as is being told. Any little lapse on Angel’s part can spell doom for the entire thing and injure the audience.

His levitation technique has been revealed to be almost similar to that of David Blaine; its all about illusion. He supposedly floats in the air by standing on the tip of his toe and shade it with his trousers and other leg, so that it almost looks he is floating above the ground.

In a video, in which he is seen float up to a chair, this point is highlighted. He makes use of angles and distractions, jumping up lithely on to the chair, so as not to appear so.
