On the heels of the announcement regarding the season five premiere of Criss Angel’s show “Mind Freak” rumors of the illusionist being dead has hit the net. The man is quite alive and safe. He has merely kept away from his Twitter account for the past few hours at a stretch (for a change) and that is one of the reason why his fans have gotten all worked up about his state of welfare.

Well, rumors of celebrity deaths are nothing new and shocking to regular Internet users anymore. Every weekend brings in a flood of new possible celebrity death rumors that gets the cyber world working overtime for verification. This one is no different from all those others.

One reason for the curiosity about Angel’s death may have risen because in the closing episode of season four (that was held this week), he was shown to be trapped inside a closed car that had burst in to flames.

Recent news regarding Angel is that he will be hosting a launch party from midnight onwards, for celebrating the season five premiere of “Mind Freak” on August 12, at 10 p.m./9 p.m CST. The celebration will also be a toast for the opening of his hangout, Criss Angel Liquidity bar, which is located in the center of the Luxor’s casino.

The season five of the show promises to feature Angel engrossed in unnerving antics which will see him overcome five ways of sure death by the sheer talent of his abilities. The first episode is going to be called “White Death” in which Angel will try and emerge alive after overcoming the joint hurdles of being buried under the snow in a closed coffin, with his wrists bound, as he beats suffocation, cold and the fear of avalanche.
