Courtney Love’s to tour Europe with reformed band Hole
January 13th, 2010 - 6:33 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 13 (ANI): Courtney Love is set to tour Europe with her reformed band Hole.
The band formed in 1989 consisted of Love, Eric Erlandson and Melissa Auf der Maur and was active until its break up in 2002.
But Love recently introduced new members guitarist Micko Larkin, bassist Shawn Saily and drummer Stu Fischer.
Hole will now hit the road to Europe in Feb with gigs at London, Milan, Italy, and Amsterdam.
In July 2009, Love was engaged in a row with former pal Erlandson over the rights to the band name.
According to Erlandson, Love cannot release music under Hole’s label as she gave him the ownership rights.
“We have a contract. She signed a contract with me when we decided to break up the band, which was like 2002 or something… The way I look at it, there is no Hole without me. To put it blunt. Just on a business level,” the Daily Star quoted him, as saying.
However, Love slammed Erlandson and wrote on her Twitter page: “I just heard that a former guitar player is saying I can’t use my name for MY band, he’s out of his MIND. He may want to check the trademark… Hole is MY Band, MY name and MY Trademark.”
Love plans to launch Hole’s next album Nobody’s Daughter, later in the year. (ANI)
