New York, Dec 24 (ANI): Courtney Love may have lost custody of her daughter Frances Bean Cobain due to domestic violence, it has been alleged.

Court documents obtained by TMZ.com suggest that Love may have lost legal control of her 17-year-old daughter because she abused her, reports the New York Daily News.

The documents ask that all articles “relating to a minor and allegations of domestic violence” be sealed in addition to Frances’ medical records.

Love was stripped of legal guardianship of Frances on December 11, and a judge later issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting Love from having contact with her only child with late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

No reason was given at the time for the issuance of the order, which prohibits Love from “certain behaviour and from coming within a certain distance of Frances and her guardians.”

In response to the restraining order, Love has taken to Facebook to voice her frustrations.

“Id just prefer she not become Jaimie [sic] L Spears,” Love writes, in reference to Jamie Lynn Spears, who had a baby at 17.

“She should go be a writer or an a…rtist wich I support 100 percent but this is a circus and it pains me cos i know she hates it,” she added. (ANI)
