Santa Barbara, Apr 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Randy Quaid and Evi Quaid have ultimately reached a settlement with the owner of the San Ysidro Ranch, a hotel in Santa Barbara County. Evi Quaid who manages both her and her husband’s account,on Wednesday went to plead no contest to defrauding the owner of the California hotel and agreed to pay $10,500 to him infront of the court. While the charges of felony against Randy Quaid were dropped by the court, Evi Quaid has been reportedly sentenced to three years’ probation and 240 hours of community service. Reports claim that the couple is happy about the ultimate outcome of the months old legal battle.

The problem erupted last year when the owner of the San Ysidro Ranch complained that the couple had not paid their $10,000 hotel bill. Randy Quaid and Evi Quaid maintained that they had cleared the bill amount. According to them it was only a misunderstanding on the part of the innkeeper. However, the matter turned worse when an arrest warrant was issued against them last September. The couple since then had missed many Court appearance date regarding the matter and were arrested on Tuesday for the same.

Evi Quaid has been reportedly asked by the court to keep away from two hotels in the northwest of Los Angeles, in the Santa Barbara County. As per the reports, Evi Quaid has expressed her intention of carrying out the community service in Los Angeles. She had reportedly told media sources that she thinks that she will be benefited by the experience of the community service.
