Cory Monteith,who not so long ago worked as greeter for the Wal Mart is about to be the next-big thing. He will be making his debut for the Fox Comedy, “Glee”, the special preview of which was aired Tuesday night right after the “American Idol”.
The Entertainment Weekly and the New York Post both describe “Glee” (the tag line of which runs as, “a biting comedy for the the underdog in all of us”) as “the the most magically delicious show any network has produced in years”. Hence, becoming a part of the series is will surely transform his life, both in terms of fame and fortune.
In this edition of “Glee,” Cory Monteith will play the role of Finn Hudson, who is a footballer as well as a singer who is blackmailed into joining the “glee club”.
Rumors are rife about the scenes where Monteith will be belting out an REO Speedwagon tune, while taking a shower in his locker room. Reflecting on the scene, Monteith says, “You’ve just got to focus on what you’re doing, not the fact that America is going to see you in the shower,” with a smile across his face. And upon his new found singing and dancing qualities, he says, “FOX taught me how to sing and dance.”
Cory Allen Monteith was born on May 11, 1982 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was raised in Victoria that falls in British Columbia and is currently a resident of Vancouver.
Before landing with the new edition of the Fox Comedy series, “Glee” as Finn Hudson, Monteith had done short stints for Kaya and Kyle XY.
