Coroner States Simon Monjack Died of Pneumonia Just Like Brittany Murphy

July 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Los Angeles coroner’s office has determined that Simon Monjack, British sceenwriter and husband to the late Brittany Murphy died of acute pneumonia, just like his wife. Monjack was found dead in the couple’s home in Hollywood, Ca on May 23, just five months after his wife died of the same illness.
Both Monjack and Murphy suffered from the inflammatory condition in their lungs, and both had severe anemia as well. The Los Angeles Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter said that Monjack’s death was “just like Brittany” and that there were some prescription drugs in Monjack’s system, but not enough to be lethal.
The full autopsy report has not yet been released, since Monjack’s family has requested another test to be done on the body of the 40 year old Monjack. When Brittany Murphy died last December of the same illness, she was 32.
Brittany’s mom was relieved at the findings. “I am still in shock and mourning over the deaths of my daughter Brittany and son-in-law Simon. It is with great relief that Simon’s preliminary autopsy findings have been released, so the media speculation can stop. As I was sure of, just like my daughter Brittany, there was no kind of drug overdose,” Sharon Murphy told ‘femalefirst.co.uk.’
