Coroner: Brittany Murphy and husband Simon Monjack died of the same causes

Los Angeles, July 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy died of the same causes, according to the Coroner’s report that was released on Thursday.
The report followed an autopsy that was carried on the bodies of the couple, which died under similar circumstances, but almost 6 months apart.
According to the report that has been made public, Monjack and Brittany died of acute pneumonia and severe anemia.
It may be recalled that the 32-year-old actress Brittany Murphy died suddenly last December in her home. Investigators found prescription drugs at the couple’s home when Brittany died. Multiple prescription drugs were also found in her body during autopsy.
On May 23 this year, Monjack also suddenly died at their home. There were several rumors concerning the deaths and it was suspected that the couple was misusing prescription drugs.
Sharon Murphy, Brittany’s mother seemed relieved after the release saying that there was no kind of drug overdose. She said the report should end all the rumors concerning the deaths of her daughter and son-in-law. She also added that Simon Monjack was like a son to her.
Investigators say that it is still unclear if the two deaths are related in anyway.
