Coroner: Amy Winehouse’s death is non suspicious

Amy Winehouse London, July 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A coroner official says police preliminary investigation at the scene where Amy Winehouse was found dead on Saturday has suggested that there was no foul play. Results of an autopsy which was carried out Monday is expected later to confirm the exact cause of the 27-year-old’s death.

Coroner’s officer Sharon Duff told reporters “the scene was investigated by police and determined non-suspicious.”

Meanwhile the family of Winehouse has expressed their appreciation for the numerous supports that they have received from people all over the world. On Monday Mitch Winehouse, father of Amy, addressed sympathizers for their support.

He said that, “I can’t tell you what this means to us — it really is making this a lot easier for us. We’re devastated and I’m speechless but thanks for coming.”

The mother of the late singer, Janis, was in tears as the sympathizers continued to visit the family house. Flowers, flags, candles, handwritten cards and drawings were part of the things that were left outside of the family house by sympathizers.

Amy struggled in the past with drug and alcohol addiction. She was found unconscious on Saturday by her security team. They called the ambulance but she was declared dead when paramedics go to the house.
