California, Mar 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Over a week after the death of former child actor Corey Haim, an arrest has been made, following the investigations that were being conducted into the death of the actor at a premature age of 38. The investigation that led to the arrest had been conducted by an attorney general, Jerry Brown, based in California. The report of the arrest has been confirmed by one of the spokespersons of the attorney general. However, the spokesperson did not divulge any of the details of the investigation or of the arrest.

The investigation was launched after it was discovered that Corey Haim was being provided by a wide variety of illegal prescription drugs from a huge number of doctors. Before that, the coroner’s report had stated that the actor had definitely not died of a drug overdose, but toxicology examinations were launched into after four bottles of medication were found in his room. The possibility of the drug overdose therefore cannot be ruled out, and toxicology reports are yet to come.

Attorney General Jerry Brown commented that he suspected that Corey Haim had been associated with an illegal prescription drug ring that operates in a massive scale. In fact, he also commented that he believes that the death had been caused largely due to the association. The investigation unearthed that Corey Haim had been regularly taking a large number of the pills, which must have had a very damaging effect on his health, as opposed to the reports of friends and family that he had overcome his drug addiction. The person who has been arrested is suspected of having been involved with the drug ring.
