Los Angeles, Mar 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The former child actor, Corey Haim’s death, has been followed up with numerous speculations about the reason which resulted in his death at the relatively young age of 38. Most of the fingers point at the obvious cause, drug overdose. It is not surprising, considering that Corey Haim’s long stint with substance abuse was a well known fact. However, the official cause of the death of the young actor has not yet been determined, and the reason would be made public only after the final reports of the coroner’s investigation has been released, though it is being suspected that pulmonary congestion might have been the reason, as per the preliminary reports released by the coroner’s office.

Some of his friends, including Corey Feldman, has also claimed that the actor had not died of a drug overdose, and the defendants’ brigade is now joined by the deceased actor’s mother, who claims that her son died of pulmonary congestion. The news had been given to her, Judy Haim after the Los Angeles County coroner’s office declared the preliminary findings. The office has also assured that drugs had nothing to do with the untimely and sudden death of the actor, as was being speculated.

The coroner’s office in Los Angeles County has declared that the actor had been suffering from an enlarged heart, lungs containing water and pulmonary congestion at the time of his death. However, the reports are only preliminary, and the final results will be declared only after the coroner’s office receives the toxicology reports. The toxicology reports are necessary as four bottles of prescribed medicines had been discovered in the room of Corey Haim after his death.
