Los Angeles, May 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Reports submitted by the police after the death of American actor Corey Haim suggested that the actor had several over the counter drugs inside his system. However according to autopsy reports released recently by police authorities in the Los Angeles County, the cause of the actor’s death two months ago was not the drugs that he consumed. Rather it has come to light that Corey Haim was suffering from pneumonia, which directly affected his lungs and led to his death.

Corey Haim was only 38 years of age when he died on the 10th of March this year. The pneumonia which the actor had incurred was quite serious and had affected his lungs to a great extent. It had caused an enlargement of the heart and a subsequent narrowing of the blood vessels, which in turn affected his respiratory system said the new report.

The report stresses on the point that although the actor showed traces of marijuana and other drugs in his blood which are harmful if consumed in high doses, the level was not as as high as it should have been to lead to death. News has also emerged that Corey Haim had been suffering from a bad cold and fever since two days before his death on March 10th this year.

Apart from an enlarged heart, the actor also had an enlarged liver. It seems that Corey Haim suddenly collapsed in his mother’s house on the day of his death, after which he could not be revived. It was then that the doctors pronounced him dead.
